Structures
I like to box the answers to my math problems. And I like to solve them while listening to music with lyrics in Spanish. I like to eat bananas when they are more than slightly green. And I like to take big bites. I like to watch Flash Gordon. And I like the YPMB freshmen. |

Sugar Addiction
So, you might be wondering what I've been up to. Actually, who am I kidding. No one cares. But, so far, I've seen these movies... and don't assume that I picked all of them... Little Miss Sunshine My Super Ex Girlfriend Nacho Libre The Lizzie McGuire Movie The Babysitter's Club Movie The Babysitter's Club Movie is amazing, in all regards. Where else, except in a pre-teen movie from the 90s, will you get this kind of (very scandalous) plot-line? Luca: I'm coming back next summer. Stacey: You are? Luca: Yeah. Stacey: [Smiles] I'll be fourteen. Luca: [Smiles back] I know. Today I shop for trumpets. |

Every Night
My roommate just told me that I write emails and text messages in meter. I never realized that before. She thinks it's because I'm musical. |

Hung Up
I won't lie: I really like Madonna's new album, Confessions On A Dance Floor. This is probably unhealthy. |

Halfway There
I wasn't going to go to the oh sev party, but I'm glad I did. I didn't drink (only Hot Damn). I got gang-kissed. My outfit was cute. The music was good. I managed to enjoy myself. I'm so lucky to have the band in my life to dance with me nearly judgement-free. Thanks band. |

Dudo Today I was able to keep warm sitting outside of Berkeley in the sun, wearing only a t-shirt and jeans.
There may have been some Rubber Soul involved. It's snowing! |

Body Heat
It's not the type of cold where you can put on two warm shirts and your warmest socks and feel good about yourself. Color doesn't help, and your hat makes your head itch, and still an army of cold wind charges your chest and thighs and it hurts with icy mallets and you can't move your fingers and you contemplate idling for a few minutes in the nearest building just to thaw a bit but Swing is so close and you'd feel silly standing in the doorway of HGS when with just a few more steps you'd be home, but it's so unimaginably winter that you no longer feel the air constrict your lungs. No matter how hard I try, I am cold. I'm not convinced it has to be that way. *Post Trumpet Edit: I'm going to be okay. My entire philosophy of Now and Only the Present has changed, but I'm adjusting. Which isn't to say that I don't still feel like shit. That's healthy. But soon everything will reach the steady state, and I'll see what happens. |

Cymbal Symbol
When did the cemetery outside my window become a frat party with singers? Earlier today I went there to stay alive and listen to music, and I accidentally crumbled part of an already deteriorating monument. I'm going to try to sleep before 11 tonight. This week has been más taxing que todos los otros. |

Suite: Judy Blue Eyes
Happy December. Today is Friday, but there will be no band practice. At least not in the traditional sense. Not in the KBB sectional, banging with new arrangements kind of way. Which actually makes me really sad. But on the bright side, I found a new pair of favorite pants over Thanksgiving, and they're even warm. They are cords and black and just the right length and the crotch isn't too long (why do men's pants always have ridiculously long crotches?) so I'll probably wear them every day for the next few weeks. Be prepared. Has anyone ever noticed that the stereo R/L balance in this song is really really annoying? My left ear is throwing a tantrum. |

But For the Sky, There are No Fences Facing
I made a mellow playlist and, as intended, it knocked me out within minutes. As with Gracie on the plane home, how she supported my neck with Neko Case and Joanna Newsom and Neil Young and her own shoulder, and as I drooled into stuffy air beneath the overhead compartments, everything really was okay. In my sleep today, I knew the solution to everything, but as soon as I woke and exclaimed (to a very confused audience) "I have it!", it disappeared. I remembered the number 41 and something white, but alone I could not piece together the rest. Having nowhere better to go, I started the playlist again. Out the common room window I saw snow and gaped, but it was just the power plant. Two more things that struck me in the face today: 1. We are on the second to last chapter of my Spanish text. 2. Popcorn is a wholly improbable substance. |

Resolved
I will go blast and drown in trumpet for a little while, but I don't think my body can take another 1.5 hour laundry-room session like last night. I will be glad for bookstores, as I had nearly forgotten that they exist. I will be sad that I am in possession of Flash Gordan (1980), but don't want to yet watch it. I will wear a sweatshirt tomorrow. |

Ressurection
My laptop is ill. Vomiting and possibly green-tinged skin ill. I need to wrap it up in an unprotected box and ship it far away to the hospital. I will miss you, Euler. Feel better soon. |

Fiction Writing
I'm so done with this story. I'm ready to move onto the next. I want to write about the beach. I want to write about Kansas. I want to write about Vegas showgirls. I want to write about Jesus. I want to write about myself, but no one would believe me. |

This week has been incredible, wonderful, and amazing. Today in particular. Even though no one knew that my drawing was of Dr. Hanson. |
